Speaking Crusty

Very impressive!

Though I have to pull them up on Schooners. Schooners are the main glass in NSW, QLD have pots. Pints are creeping into NSW because there's so bloody many Irish pubs popping up. Though to be fair, if ever a better (translate: bigger) way of drinking beer is to be found, Aussies will usually adopt it.

Other noteable absences were Beer Bong (half a 2L coke bottle, some hose and add gravity) and Schmiddy (the cursed cross between a schooner and a middy that pubs have introduced to rip patrons off... damn you schmiddy!!!).

Oh yeah and a Flamin Mongrel would have been nice too :D

Thanks for the language refresher. Many of the words are similar to the English slang that I learned very young in Toronto. Had a big laugh over the 'Wombat......Somebody that eats, roots & leaves' On my first trip to Sydney that was displayed on a teeshirt and since no one had ever taught me that root could be a verb, an Aussie had to explain the joke.

Gee, a bunch of those are American. Must have been watching too many bad Hollywoods! :D

Well Bugger me

Lucky my wife didnt read the title of Sands thread because she thinks speaking Crusty is lots of one syllable words spoken in mono tone and only puncuated by loud belching.

There are some that i have never heard before and some that we dont use at all but it was surprising how many we use everday.

Any way i have to go im flat out like a lizzard drinking have to put a slab in the esky put a snagger on the Barby and give the wife a dog and bone ( if she lets me)

See you in the spring onion

Summer has finally arrived
The sky is Blue and cloudless temp was 33c and the see breeze has come in to cool it down to 26c.
Ocean is crystal clear you could see South Africa of the back of Rotto last weekend
Its going to be 34 tomorrow and only getting hotter.
Wont be long before we get those beautiful 28C nights
What more can i say appart its a prick of a day to be at work.

Summer in Perth, why would you ever want to leave ??
If the White Pointers would just stop snacking on us it would be perfect
