Hi Guys
I am from South Africa .I am visiting a friend in New Zealand Aucland in July. Can I bring my spearo gear with on the aeroplane or do I have to buy there.

You should have no prob taking it with you, just pack it really securely!! My dad brought back 2 guns form S.A. to Melbourne a little over a month ago and customs didn't even bat an eye lid. Your dive knife might be a prob, but I think as long as it's with the rest of your gear no one will hassle you. Don't buy dive gear in AUS or NZ, it's way tooo expensive, NZ a little less so than oz, but still a rip off.

Being a Kiwi living in Australia I have gone back and forth a few times without any drama's, just make sure everything is in a good bag and locked. If you are still worried ring your airline

I've never even had trouble with knives, obviously as long as it's not cabin luggage lol. But I'm military and have flown with a few in my suitcases.
