Have both 75 and 90cm guns. Any issues with using longer or shorter spears than the stock spears suggested? Reason being so i can use 1 set of spears with both guns, rather than having 2 sets.

Pav, I think the rule of thumb is that the shaft should be 30cm longer than the gun. I am not sure on the shorter side of your question but I personally use shafts that are 40cm longer on my 100 cm and my 120 cm gun. I found that I like the little bit extra reach.

Maybe Miles could help you out a bit more than me, he is the one of the most knowledgeable guys I know in the Euro field.

good luck

The idea behind the long overhang on euro guns is that it counteracts the natural sag in the shaft between the muzzle and trigger. If you significantly reduce or increase this distance then some sort of bending will occur. With a rail gun you can reduce the length to the extent that the flopper is tight to the muzzle if you wish as the rail will do the supporting for you. Spears are generally that size for a reason so I would say it's best to stick to roughly what comes as standard with the gun.
