i was wondering if anyone uses a polespear in any rocky areas ive been having trouble with my jbl paralyzer tip on the rocks, ive gone through two that have just been mangled on the rocks. just wondering what other people are running, i need something new.

Maybe you should try a flopper tip, steel tip with ali flopper. when the tip does hit rocks you can just use a file to sharpen it and the flopper can twist off should your spear get stuck in a hole...

I file my 3 prong parylazer tips before every dive. I get all three of the tips very sharp makes a huge difference. I shoot around rocks all the time and pin the big fish to the bottom using it.
Without shapening the tips my 3 prong would be useless after a couple of dives. Been using the same one for 3 years now.

As Ocean 314 said, a file is a spearfisher's best friend. After each day's diving, regardless of the spearfishing equipment I use, a file is used to touch up the spearpoint ends. Works great and your catch will be greatly increased.
