Speared a puffer

So I was spearing some red bigeye through this tiny gap in the coral, launching my 3-prong when they crossed the opening. On one dive I launched my spear and missed a red but hit something I couldn't see deeper in the tunnel, when I pulled my spear back it felt like I had a balloon on the end, stuck my head in the hole and saw a big puffer. Sad moment.

Shot two more fish after though, which brings me to my question... Will the venom leave enough residue on my 3-prong to contaminate the fish I speared later? Kind of nervous.
