Hey everyone! I’m 4 days post op and already thinking about the day I get back to spearing. Curious if anyone here has returned to Spearfishing after a hip replacement and if so, if they’d share about their experience.

I’m 37 and it was a posterior THR.

Thanks!

I've had both knees replaced and my left hip. Spend some time doing some pool work to increase strength. I used training fins at first,
then switched to my regular free diving fins. Did that for a couple months along with other gym work for basic good health and strength.
Then spearfishing off San Diego coast was essentially no different than where I was with it prior to the surgery. Don't rush it, and you'll
have many more years in the water. My surgery was 6 years ago.

Thanks Buddy. Very reassuring and glad to hear your experience has been good.
