I just moved up to Tromsø and would like a buddy to go spearfishing with. I already know a few spots, but prefer not to dive alone and spot swapping is always a plus. I try to go out as often as I can. Please let me know if you'd like to join me or if you know of any spearfishing clubs/groups etc. in the area.

hi!
I'm a relative-newbie spearo, also living in Tromsø and looking for buddies for the upcoming season. I am away/busy until end of March but would be good to get out in early April, if you are still in town??
Oliver

Hi Ollie!
I'm still around :) Haven't been in the water for almost 6 months though, but am definitely keen to go again soon.
We can meet up in early April, just get in touch again when you're ready ;)

Great, will do. I was last in the water in November - it was snowing outside but nice and warm in the water! Guessing it is a little colder now though. I will pm in April.

Hey , I am also living in Tromsø, with a friend . We are both freedivers who wants to meet up with other people and go hunting. Have you been in the water recently? Any luck;)?

I had four buddies up for halibut hunting the past weekend. One giant plaice (3-4kg range) and a 10-12 kg halibut was the total between the 5 of us. Visibility was not so good, but seems to be improving. If you send me your cellphone number by PM I'll get in touch before we head in next time. I hope to get out some time next week.

I'll be in Tromsö at the end of Nov! Any chance of getting wet?
Hope all is well with you my friend and that we can do some hunting together again. It has been a while.
Regards.

That's great Darryll! I'll be away Nov 22-25th, but other than that I'm up for a dive ;) End of november is whale spotting season; last year the humpbacks were here in hundreds :) It's going to be quite dark, but there are a few hours of twilight to allow for some diving. I haven't been in the water that late in the year, but the water should still be fairly warm (it's 7-8 degrees now). Don't know about fish though, they may have moved to deeper water for the winter, but only one way to find out!

Hello Tromso Spearos,
I am visiting Norway in August. I am planning on a dive around August 9th. I have experience diving in 8 degree C water in New England (I own a 2-piece 7mm open cell wet suit). Can someone advise me on who I should go with? Is it a good time to hunt? Are there professional guys who do charters?
Thank you in advance!
