Spearfishing contacts in USA

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.

I am looking for information and any contacts for a planned trip to the Carolinas in Aug/Sept.
Water temp? type of fishing etc.
As a specimen hunter I am interested in challenging species.
Any contacts or advice very welcome.
