Is there any particular way to spear cobia? I realize it's mostly from the surface that cobia are found but do you chum and use flashers? Help me out here because they taste great!

We don't see a lot of them in Belize. But they're basically a pretty dumb fish and will allow you to approach them. I've only shot about 5 but it's kind of like shooting cero mackerel. Just intersect their path and hit them.
The fun starts after the shot though. They don't die easily and probably best if you shoot them twice....or three times. They swim around kind of calm after being shot but once I put my hand on the spearshaft....whoooaaa. They go wild.
The guys up in the Gulf have the most experience though. They get monsters off the oil rigs. Good luck.
