Hi guys,

Been trawling the threads but info is limited but I live in Dubai and keen to do some spearfishing.

I just want to find out what the current laws are regarding spearfishing in Dubai and the UAE in general and also if there are any shore entry spots around Dubai.

Thanks guys

There have certainly been discussions on this in the past. As best I can recall, it is a bit of a grey area. No clear laws were mentioned. If you are well connected/know someone you can do it but otherwise can find yourself in trouble, esp. diving from shore. I would be cautious, seek permission, ideally in writing. I believe former staff member Island_Sands lived there, perhaps still does?

If someone knows better though I'd be happy to be corrected on this.
