i'm planning a trip to mallorca to go spearfishing.
do you know if it is good? are there many fishes of reasonable to large size?

I don't know what you mean with that answer, I hope it is not some sort of derogative comment?
Anyway you did not answer Subunit 'very relevant' question, so I cant really help you either!
If you are experienced & capable of hunting clear deep water, (something we don't know) then yes there are some fish to be had but, we are talking about a very over fished sea.

I believe the answer to "are there many fishes of reasonable to large size?" would be 'Yes' but you are not gonna get them Mum said you are a lousy diver
