I am a beginner based in North Devon. It seems most people spearfishing in Devon are on the South coast. Anyone got any experience on the North coast. Any do's and don't's for this area would be appreciated...

My father spear fishes around Green Cliff Peppercombe, and Abbotsham, he used to shoot 5-6 Bass from 4lb - 10lb there in a day but these days the water too silty and rarely clears, the back end of Lundy is good as well but you'll need a boat for that one.
