Since 2009 we have the organization of polish spearos - Stowarzyszenie Spearfishing Poland :)

Do You know how is in Poland under water? Less than 10 meters deep usually is cold and dark. rofl

Video from the hunt in a clean lake on Polish territory. Composed of several hunting. Fishes - typical in our region - 'lin' (ang Tench):

You spear Tench?! Don't try that in the UK (nor any other freshwater fish for that matter) - illegal and would you'd be extremely unpopular with the coarse fishermen (anglers). Tench are prized by anglers here as uncommon and good fighters, can't imagine they'd fight anymore than a 6lb grey mullet (I rate mullet as fighters).

Tenches are prized by spearos in Poland, because they are watchful and wary. Illegal in Poland are eels and salmonidae fish (only on inland waters).

Other video from the hunt in a flooded forest on Polish territory. Fishes - typical in our region - szczupak (pike), and 'lin' (ang Tench):

Do you eat the Tench? What are they like, maybe a bit muddy?

Nice video's, interesting to see freshwater fish, though being English, hunting them feels a little odd.

One question, why don't you put your computer on your other wrist so that you don't have to roll your gun to look at your dive time?

I'm left-handed, and often freedive without speargun. So I got used to this way.

could still be worth swapping. l wear my computer on my right hand when diving for depth and left when spearing.

Video from the hunt in turbid water on Polish territory (flooded quarry). Fishes - karaś (ang. crucian), and 'lin' (ang. tench):

In our climate, water in closed tanks twice a year to mars (poor visibility)and purifies (good visibility) twice. It is associated with the nonlinear dependence of the density of water on the temperature in the range near 0 st Celsius. Without going into the details:
- The first mixing - Spring, takes place from the time when the ice starts to melt and takes about 3 to 4 weeks
- Then the water is purified
- The second mixing - autumn is when surface of water cools near 0 st C. This mixture begins most frequently shortly before the formation of ice and it takes about 2-3 weeks even after freezing the lake's surface.
- Then the water is purified and the condition lasts until early spring, when again starts spring mixing.

I invite you on a virtual trip into the depths, and all the sceneries typical for Polish freshwater: bushes, underwater meadows, flooded forests and rocks, in the scenery of spring mixing of the water. The film shows the (hopefully) charms of this phenomenon. Was recorded during several training sessions in mid-April 2013. Tour takes place from subsurface layers to the deepest layers. The maximum depth of the lake - 14 meters.

location of lake - Poland
Maximum depth of this lake - 14 meters

parts:
Bushes (depth 0 - 2 m)
Underwater meadows (depth 3 - 5 m)
Flooded forests (depth 6 - 12 m)
Rocks (depth 8 - 14 m)

This video is long. Viewed on Youtube page has time shortcuts to its parts / depths
