Hi there,

Have been visiting here for a while and have learned tons of spearfishing things.

Attached are my catches last dive in northern Taiwan.
Most are rudder fishes (I know their chinese name but not sure of its English name.) and one squid.
Not very big because there are not many big fishes in the water.

Spearman,
The fish you got look a lot like Silver Drummer -Australian common Name
the squid looks more like a cuttlefish-even better to eat than squid.
Did you get the PM i sent you?
Re Haulien ? also i dived once at Kenting on the far southern end of Taiwan -No spearfishing but I caught a crayfish which was cooked to perfection in a local restraunt keep your eyes open under ledges for these.
Regards
peter

I might be taking the record for reviving the oldest thread... But it bugged me last year when I caught a fish like these that I could not ID it... But this thread got me googling a bit more and it is indeed a Rudderfish. More specifically a Highfin Rudderfish or Kyphosus Cinerascens. BTW, it tasted great.
