Just a thought guys - have any of you considered keeping a 'Spearfishing Journal' on here?

Your own personal thread which you update after each trip logging conditions, catch and (if you're not secretive) locations. I recon a few good journals could be a really nice addition to the UK & Ireland forum.

It would be interesting to see where people go, how trips went what you came home with and also what kit people use.

I keep a jounal on another forum (non-spearing) and it's been a really good laugh - there are about 15-25 people who regularly drop in and give their thoughts / congratulations / take the piss etc... all positive stuff! :)

If it works for other sports, can't see why it won't work for spearing! I've learned tons from reading other people's journals and people have said they've got a lot out of mine.

Anyway... just a thought...!

PS: If people were going to start a Journal, it might be nice if they were in the main 'UK & Ireland' forum, not in one of the regional subsections where people might miss it!

I like the idea. Has anyone any plans to use the blog app on here ?

I wouldn't personally recommend the vBulletin Blog app, it's not that great. The other forum I'm on actually removed 'blogs' as they didn't work that well - people found it much more effective to start their own threads.

I hope some people do start journals - will be interesting stuff!
