I have played around with several different masks over past 3 years, and to be honest I cannot say I've been happy with any. I would say I have a med to large roundish face with a slightly large nose. The most common place for a leak is just to either side of my nose on the crease where a moustache would be if I had one. So far the closest to a good fit are omer alien blackmoon and an apnea spearo, cressi masks tend to be poor fitting for me. Any recommendations please for a good all round spearo mask. Thanks.

Its not a dedicated spearo mask and if you can accept the slightly greater volume the Hollis M1 is a great mask and by a clear mile provides the best seal for me, I have tried the Omer Bandit, IST Hunter and various others and can get a seal with some jiggling of the mask but the Hollis is just a plonk on the face, dive and forget your wearing it type of mask. Its got a great single lens of excellent quality and is very well built. Well I like, sorry I should say LOVE it. Mine is a good few years old now and still going strong with no sealing issues whatsoever! (y)

i have a technisub micro and its pretty okay. just uncomfortable after a long dive, would probably be better if i had a hoody on. there is a article you might want to check on facebook . i will see if i can post this link. if not..... its unfortunate

Its better to test the mask if possible at the shop by wearing it and create a vacuum . wear the mask while looking forward and create a small vacuum then look up with your face facing the sealing. see if the seal keeps up

for a good mask you have the Aqualung Micromask + Sporasub Mystic + Omer Zero and Omer Alien. these are all low volume mask good for spearfishing and freediving.

Personally I'm using the Micromask.

Try using some food grade silicon grease - it's pretty thick. Use it to fill in the creases and rough spots on your face. I use it on my mustache to fill in between the hairs - works pretty good. The only downside is that you have to be careful not to get it on the lens because it won't rinse off in water - need soap and warm water to remove it.

Ive tried lots of masks over the years and the one I always come back to is the omer abyss.
Its the same shape as the cressi superoccio but way better quality
I have a big round face and its the only one I can push on and it sucks on and stays
its looks kinda retro too..
