Spearfishing near Boracay Philippines?

hi, I will be in boracay in feb.
does any one know of nearby spots or charters. some local knowledge please.
Willing to share costs and learn how to spear this area, any spearo's out there?

Hi, I'm an expat living in Boracay. I don't spearfish myself (snorkling mostly) but I know locals that do. They usually go to Crocodile island to do that.

As a tourist fishing like that there might not be allowed though. Best thing to do is to talk to locals, they might be able to bring you along as I have not heard of any organized spearfishing activities for tourists.

Ok best thing to do then is go to the east side of the island, Bulabog beach. That's where the kitesurfing happens and the locals there will be more willing to help you out and point you in the right direction (on White Beach they mostly want to sell you island hopping etc.).

Then best things would be to befriend some locals, and join in if you can find some that do spearfishing.

hey micky
there are some guys here you can meet up with the locals but they prefer shallow hunting with questionable tactics.
the more sportsman like guys make plans to get of boracay to fish, as it is not permitted. my email is jacques 683@gmail.com if you are seriously interested contact me.
