Fantastic, the water looks very clear & the sun strong.
How did the hunting go?

Looks fantastic - the water is soo clear! i especially like the picture with the guy aiming the speargun.

The 2 last one are the ebst for me! The water visibility is amazing! And i really love thos close eye photos of divers! Greatw ork!

awesome pics..thanks for sharing those...I love the ability to get photographic compositions in the underwater environment, I usually have such a struggle with all of the other factors that Itend to throw out the artistic considerations just to get a shot, I applaud how well you succeeded

really nice, i definitely have to manage a tank for my reflex....

Amazing Photos!!! Its definitely coming from a very expensive pro gears. Keep the photos coming!!!

Those are truly amazing! The man in the center! I love them!! Especially the 1st and the 3rd.. There are only few good photos from green water and yours is great! I love pictures with the divers in the 1 place! Great photos!!

well, if you give a look at the domeport site, you will find some gear data and some amazing photos have been taken with compact cameras such as Canon G9

i'm considering Canon powershot (almost any) + chdk + tank instead of my Nikon P4 (...bleah) + tank

i'm looking at the man in the center too: the only thing i can say about it, is that the speargun is not aligned with the light beams from above, but that would have been perfection, and maybe would have made it sound a little worse
great photo!!!

I tend to agree with sgnips since the last three are taken with Canon Powershot G7. However, I wouldn't go for ANY Powershot, but for the G series - preferably G10.
I moved for a higher class only when I felt I'm outgrowing the compacts.

Ikelite has a very nice housing for the G10, which allows you to take advantage of its TTL abilities when used with Ike strobes. The housing has TTL circuitry integrated.

G10 for sure, and the ikelite housing looks really cool

i said "almost any powershot" because the chdk sw can make miracles and make all of them shooting raw
ok, this might not work for medium level photographers :t

Actually, it might work. It's not only the raw I'd go for. G10 has a 28mm lens and a flash hotshoe that the other powershots lack. This means wider angle photos and proper use of wired flash.
I am considering getting one myself as an additional camera, since the dSLR setups are quite bulky. Not to mention that Ike released a special dome for the G10 housing to get the most of the 28mm. lens.

Cheers!

Very nice pictures Wishbone. I remember reading an article by a professional climber (I forget which one) where he mentioned that he carried a small compact which he used on route. He liked to take unusual shots with logos in them - for example prominently featuring the sole of his partner's climbing shoe above him, as he figured he could sell them or give them to his sponsors for advertising/catalogues/brochures.:D

Thanks for the hint, Mr. X! :)
Unfortunately most designers wouldn't even look at photos made with compact cameras. However, please take a look at the Esclapez Diving website.. ;)

but... oh my god!!! how much he does bend the knees...:rcard

:D
You better check out the fins type before slapping red cards! Straight fins (no blade angle) need a different finning technique. :)
