Spearfishing South Crete(Agios Pavlos)

Hello greek Spearos

Yesterday i booked the flights for a 16 Day holidayin September on South of Crete, near Agios Pavlos. From the Photos i saw the place looks quite promising. Rocks and totally lonely. I also will take my Speargun with me and will try to catch some fish for my family. I know, that in Greece i will need a License. Do you know if it is possible to get the license before i got there. Maybe via Internet, or if i call a place over there and they send it by post. If not, do you know how long does it take to get the license and what i need for it.

Do you know some good Spearfishing Spots/Places near that place(Agios Pavlos), or is here on the forums someone from this place and we could meet there for a trip or so..?

Answer to myself: rofl

I called the Port Authority of Agia Gallini and asked them what they need for a license.
They need: Passport, 2 Photographs, 30 € AND the Greek Tax-Number.
The License takes 2 Days to issue.

In actual fact it should be issued on the spot but I am miffed as to how you will provide them with a greek tax number LOL (though they might accept your VAT number from Austria).

Want to post the number you called them at and I will call and clarify for you. I am Greek and a lawyer (rofl) so I ll most likely be able to clarify this for you.

Thank you for providing me help with the greek bureaucracy,
but i managed to get an greek tax-number. I found an tax-office(http://www.tax-advisor-griechenland.de/) who is getting me this number for money. Quite a lot and i needed to go to the embassy, but i dont want to spend my holidays at the greek finance offices and i think now its the right time to support greek economy..

But anyway thank you for your help. I told them that i am from austria,
but they said they need an greek taxnumber..

Hi all, I have been on vacation many times without cash. Can you tell me how to cash out from a credit card, preferably without a card, I do not take it with me. Anybody have any experience?
