Hey everyone! Im new here and probably should introduce myself-

I'm Adam, a 19 year old Environmental and Marine Uni student from Newcastle, Australia, keen spearo with dad teaching me since i was about 8 :)

In February, ill be heading over to Vanuatu and taking my spearing gear over, and hope to catch my biggest fish yet! I never really catch really big fish, with a few 15-20kg Yellowtail Kingfish being my best. Id love to chase after some decent tuna, mahi mahi and do my first real blue water spearfishing.

What im nervous about is my gear, what ill be taking over is:

120cm Rob Allen gun, with 7.5mm shaft and 7mm shafts, single 19mm rubber, 400lb mono, set up with Breakaway
Mako Pro Inflatable Float
22 meter (75ft) Mako Float Line
1 meter (4ft) Mako Floatline Bungie

Ive also got a 8l Rob Allen hard Float that i can take??

So anyway, what size fish do you think i will be able to get with this gear? I usually manage to get a pretty good shot and im obviously not going for record sizes, im just not keen at all on loosing my gear to a big fish haha

Anyone used this Mako gear on decent size Tuna?

Also, has anyone been spearing over there? Anyone i should get in contact with, or spots that i should hit up?

Any helps appreciated,

Cheers
