spearfishing while scuba diving at Norther carlifornia coast

Hello All,

I am new to spearfishing, and am very glad to join the community of deep blue spirit.

Any comments on spearfislhing using scuba at Northern CA coast? I just cannot hold breath long enough as a free diver. I'd appreciated any comments on the training or tricks to be a good free diver.
