spearfishning in Qatar

Hi !!

I'm going to qatar in april for made a spearfishning trip and i'm looking sme help for organize the project.

If is possible i need phone and mail of spearfishning company if exist in Qatar. I now QatarSub but nobody answare me after a mail on the QatarSub facebook.....

If spearfishing Qatari can help me it's great !!! thank you in advance and good hunting for all !!

Hi, I am actually doing an article about spearfishing in Qatar for a magazine, and it proves to be quite difficult event if you live in Qatar to get information. I am not sure if you are still planning to come to Qatar in April or if someone has contacted you. But all advise I can give is to go to the shop - QatarSub when you are here and connect with the people there. The owner is very clued up but not so often in the country. What I have learnt is that you need to know someone, local or expat, that knows the spots and can take you there (obviously this is a bit difficult when you are just visiting)...
Around the corner from the QatarSub shop is another spearfishing shop, Al Kashat - +974 66724828 / +974 700 57489, no email; but same story there.
I know this might not have helped that much.. but what I can say there is no companies here that takes you on trips. It is all about meeting the right people.

Thank you very much for your response ! finally ! because I had no answers to my many requests for information ....

I had made contact with Qatar sub directly to their addresses and facebook. I never had any answers .....As for my trip was to assess the potential of Qatar for spearfishing and make prospecting spot to organize spearfishing trips ....I regret not having had contacts and I had to loose my projects in Qatar and I'll be in the EAU in April to make prospectin with a local structure for two weeks and then I'll be in Bali until 15 but to finish my exploration in Indonesia .

It will be great if we can keep in contact as I keep the project qatar destination and alot of other projects spearfishing and it would be nice if I could talk to you?

Just a pleasure. Sorry to hear that the projects here were cancelled.

I have a direct email for the owner of the QatarSub shop - khalid@stateofqatar.com if this is not the one you have been using.
I know he is currently out of the country for a couple of weeks, so also a reason why I struggled to get information.
I will keep an eye on the forum if you want to make contact again, however I do not really specialize in spearfishing articles. I write monthly articles about outdoor activities in Qatar. But, you never know, with the contacts that I have build up now, I might get to know a bit more about the activities here
