Hi all, I am fairly new to spearfishing...been doing some polespear work for the last 2-3 months and looking to invest in a speargun. I found a nice looking used Riffe Competitor #2xs for sale including a reel/line and a hardcase. I was just wondering if this would be a good gun for the malibu/LA county area (mostly kelp beds and rock reef with some sand bottom), and what would be a good price for such a speargun. I would also been interested in what other spearguns are good for my conditions preferable for around or under $400. Thanks!
