I am new member and look forward to meeting new divers & sharing almost 30 yrs of diving & spearfishing experience. I have 2 mares pneumatic guns 1 is the LongTom & the other a cyrano 970. Both need service. They no longer keep preasure. Does anyone have an address or phone # of a repair shop. or manuals to do it myself. I live in the USA in South Louisiana. Thanks for your help

Craig,

I quote my previous comment with links to good maintenance pictorial/tutorials for your reference.

I suggest you also try to get hold of the Mares Cyrano and Sten o-ring set. In 9/10 cases air leakage is due to deffective or displaced o-rings.

Needless to say, ALWAYS COMPLETELY DEPRESSURIZE the gun before you start the disassembly.

Also I suggest you print out the Mares dealer's manual and, especially, the technical drawings, as further reference: http://www.sportmarsub.net/files/schemi_oleo_mares.pdf

Cheers, ulysses

Also I would like again to dispel the completely false notion that disassembly of a traditional airgun for maintenance is difficult or complicated. Not at all. As a matter of fact, many people are surprised how little there is to it and how 'simple' the construction of an airgun actually is.

Again, two pictorials that show the procedure step by step:
