As a new spearo I'm keen as mustard to get in and get wet anywhere and everywhere to test kit and just to get wet.
The problem is my evil dwarves (children) and also the gun itself.

Has anyone made or bought a bag to transport your speargun around safely?

I have thought of trying to make a carrier out of a drainage down pipe with a cap end and a lever on the other end and insulate inside with foam.

Thanks for any help or guidance.

A friend gave me a piece of pipe with that in mind but I think it's too big, unweildy and heavy for air travel, or even for inside a large car. Might work on a roof rack or roof bars though, I suppose.

The young Australian Chap on YouTube -Daniel Mann? - uses a sports tube for transporting his gear. I think he has a link to it on some of his videos.

Failing that, Rob Allen sell a range of Spearfishing baggage, pretty cool . Or an anglers Rod bag - Lidl/Aldi sometimes sell big ones at bargain prices; the Shakespeare Salt range includes a big, extendible, seafishing rod bag. An old ski bag or ski tube would also work.

Thanks mr.x I 'found' a large pull up banner bag not being used and have cut down some polystyrene for a bit of support for the barrel etc.

Not sexy but does the job of keeping it out of people's view.
