Evening all, im looking at organising a spearing trip to Mozambique and was wondering if any of you guys on here have had first hand experience spearing there or have any advice or tips. So far im thinking of organising a trip with this company:

MOZAMBIQUE SPEAR FISHING ADVENTURE

My father is also looking at Mozambique for rod and line big game fishing. So if any of you guys also have advice on the rod and line side of things it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Ian

Looked at doing a Moz trip myself at the begining of the year, And unless your willing to slum it I managed to find a trip for myself and my wife to the Island of Bali for less than the trip to Moz lol.

But if you can find an affordable solution to the Moz issue then hell drop me a line. Though I suspect the best way to do it is to go Camping :) and roughing it a bit.

though coming from england using pounds you probably wont have an issue.

If Im not mistaken you should speak to Miles and Old Sarge I think both of them has done trips there, perhaps drop them a pm and theyll be able to help you :)

Covert:
The reason i looked at this particular Moz trip is due to the fact a bloke from the UK rated it highly on the page below Spearfishing in Mozambique - Paul Maxwell

and it seems reasonably priced at:

R9750.00 per person based on minimum 6 divers.

bearing in mind that R9750.00 includes all your meals, accom, a couple of guides, 2 twin engined boats and transfers to and from the airport. Feel free to come along mate, the more the merrier:) im starting to round people up here at home and im planning putting a post up here about it over the next couple of weeks once i've found out a little bit more info.

deepthinker:
i've spoken to old sarge about moz. He's been there hunting buffalo, he strongly reccomends visiting the country but hasnt done any spearing there himself. I'll try and get hold of Miles though and will see if i have any joy with him. Cheers for the heads up mate.

spearfishingsa.co.za also had a good couple of reports on Moz, btw when you planning on going.

I just might be send me a message with everything you have planned and we can start chatting :)
