Well hello there fellas,

Been a long while since a good diving... I have moved to Finland.. and to tell the truth.. after doing some diving and shooting in UK, which I thought was pretty poor at times... I have tried diving in Finland and... I am not too keen on hunting in these waters..

Ok whining aside, I am planning on going for a spearing trip to Med.. perhaps. I have fair amount of travel expence cash, but not for a around the world trip.

Two last trips have been pretty good, First Norway.. result was some serious size fish, Pollack and Cod.. Then Cornwall where we got bass and mullet.. diving was nice and weather was much nicer than Norway... Now it is time to hit a nice spot for some good sized fish and weather...

Any suggestions for spots? or past experiences from doing a trip to a "new" spot somewhere in the Med.

Any help for planning and suggestions would be appreciated greatly..

Hi Pekka I dont live in the Med but from my experiences when on holiday, big fish are hard to find unless you are a deep diver? I am not a deep diver & I have only seen small fish however I have seen BIG fish in the Azores & the Cape Verdi Islands. Of course you could always visit us here in Guernsey, nice in the summer!
 
HI Pekka - two words - 'The Azores'!!!!!!!!!!!!

had some great fish there. Chad and Sargo in 10ft of water out to amber jacks as deep as you would like to dive and all sorts in between!
 
Heh, Azores.. I have heard that it is the place to go... Will look into the whole thing.. but I was thinking of Med.. I konw it is bit different to England as it is much deeper diving.. I think I am in a bout -25m Diving condition at the moment, would have to work on my diving a bit to reach 40m I suppose.. :) I have done some diving to about 30m.. I will look into the Azores.. but Perhaps Guernsey.. is there anything elso worth shooting but bass, not that I don't like Bass, but would like to see some new fish also..
