Spearo BBQ's 2009

Well lets start the ball rolling with the dates for the 2009 Spearo BBQ's.

I propose we have 2 events in May..

1 in Dorset and 1 in Devon

The May Bank Holiday dates are 4th and 25th.

The area used for last years spearo bbq is perfect for the occasion so its use in 2009 seems logical.

All we would need is a venue for devon and to decide which date for each bbq.

Sounds good John,
Is it the intention to have the BBQ on the Sunday. This would allow the outsiders to come down and stay overnight.
I cant do the last weekend of May, so for me the first weekend would be better.
Looking forward to a few this year.

How about South Milton Sands (Thurlestone) for the Devon event?
Plenty of space for BBQ some good shore diving to be had and also a good place to launch small inflatable boats which would give access to some good spots in Bigbury Bay. Any boats that can't be carried/wheeled down the steep ramp to the beach could also be launched around the corner at Hope Cove which is only a couple of minutes away by sea.

(Mon 25th is the only day I can do, but I'll try not to cry too much if you all choose another day)
