To help keep an easy record of whats best for who i've added a poll for people to vote for When amd Where:)

Nuts! I meant Dorset on the 25th, did a really good job of ticking both the wrong date and county...

I'm due to work on 04 & 25 May, but will I'll try to book time off to attend the Dorset BBQ once a firm date is made. It'll be good to meet some of you Dorset spearos

How about Thurlestone or Bantham? Good parking and an excellent beach for BBQ's at Bantham. There is a nice reef off to the right of the beach too. Thurlestone is pretty much the same, but with the bonus of being able to dive the wreck of the Louis Shied.

The far left carpark in Thurlestone ( near the rock arch) has been turned into a dune so that leaves the middle carpark on the hill or the golf course carpark. Bantham sounds good.

The South Milton end of Thurlestone used to be a good place for launching small boats. Does anyone know if this is still possible with the car park changes?

no chance at all mate its been turned into a sand dune. The national Trust dug it up a month or so ago. :(

There may be a couple of these BBq's going on? I'd like to crash a couple to meet new people? Abbi xxx (Cardiff)

And you’ll be made welcome at any of them.:)

Bring yer speargun with you for the pre-BBQ dive.
Last year Brett (surfnspear) knocked up a demon paella with a few Pollock and a Cuttlefish that were shot minutes before he cooked them.:p:p:friday

I've never been to a DB BBQ before, so I'm looking forward to it.:friday

Has anyone decided on a venue for the Devon yet?

Its up to the masses mate, If we have it in Torbay Myself and DaveL will be able to sort a venue and dive out (weather depending)

have you got any places in mind?

I know bantham was mentioned, Nice big car park, good reefs to the left of the lifeguard building and a toilet. Is there any good spots in Plymouth?

Bantham is sounding good so far for the Plymouth area. I don't mind driving over to Torbay. We had a great dive there last time.

Any update on date and location for the Dorset BBQ, or are we joining the Devon crew?

Right then Girls and Boys here are the details for the Dorset Spearo BBQ.

Date: SUNDAY 3RD MAY 2009 this is a change from the monday after several requests.

Location: LARGE GRASS BANK NEXT TO PORTLAND CASTLE CAR PARK PORTLAND.Same place as last year for those of you who attended.

Times: MEET @ 3.00PM TO START BBQ'S SO TIME TO DIVE AND COLLECT FOOD BEFORE HAND.

As with last years bbq it is going to be bring your own disposable bbq as the logistics of carrying a large bbq there are a bit much(unless someone has one to volunteer?)

I hope you can all attend as last year was a great success:friday

Any questions let me know.
