Hi there I am new to spearfishing and I am looking to hook up with some Spearo's in my area. I am based in SW Cornwall and if anyone would be willing to let me tag along on any trips/training I would really appreciate it.
Many thanks

Hello mrhogan, welcome to db.
I see you have already posted on the cornish thread and I'm sure you will get some responses soon.
What part of SW Cornwall are you from?
There is some good spearing to be had around that part of the coast, as well as being one of the most beautiful places in the world.
My wife and me try to holiday there once or twice a year if we can, usually around Lamorna.
Far from trying to find spearos to link up with I think they will come banging on your front door for some free accommodation.
In the meantime it might be worth going back over the old Cornish threads to get an idea of the sites and type of diving involved.
There are also threads on db for beginning spearfishing, freediving, in fact just about anything you might need, use the search button on top of the page.
Also you can post any questions you have for a more direct answer.
Hope this is of some help to you.

Regards,
Dave.

DevonDave;
Cheers for your response! I am based very close to the Lizard about twenty minutes from helston. I am very lucky with where I live but I work overseas so its almost a holiday for me when I am home!! Lamorna is a great place and very beautiful too.
I am quite lucky as I know some pretty good marks from many many hours spent using a rod and line.
Happy days and thanks for your response!
