Its now official Cuba does not allow spearfishing anymore, and travelling with a speargun there is now illegal.
I am looking for another destination to ply my hobby, anywhere south of Canada central or south america and caribean. Your suggestions please. Looking for a quick 1 week getaway type of vacation , travelling with my wife who also snorkels but does not spear.

I'd look into baja or panama.

Bahamas is also an amazing (albeit somewhat sharky) polespear (no spearguns allowed) hotspot / destination.

Anywhere from Islamorada south... The middle keys are supposed to be very good, but fewer charters than Key West.

Key West has an airport, so you can fly direct from Toronto or Montreal I believe.

Just find a good charter and have a blast!

What month are you planning on going?
