Hello, I´m new one in this DB forum :)
It is very interesting for me and I´m happy to join.

I´m intermediate freediver (2 years active), now I have Beuchat Mundial Competition fins... because of comfortable footpockets. I´m satisfy with Beuchat footpockets, because I have wide foot and it doesn´t fit any other footpockets except Beuchat. But blades Beuchat doesn´t seem good enought for me.

That´s the reason why I contacted SPECIAL FINS and they give me a great offer ....they suggested me to make special wider carbone fins for me footpockets Beuchat. (now I have to send Beuchat footpockets to them... and they will make carbone blades that fit this footpockets).
Money I have to pay as the first, then they will start make fins.

I think I can trust them and pay before... they are well know producer.
What is your opinon ???

Another problem is with the "softness" of blades...

Maybe you should give me an advice with "softness" of SPECIAL FINS blades ( I have no experience with "special fins") ... I would suggested "Medium"
softnes - I sometimes dive up to 35 meters, but the most of me
dives is from 15 to 20 meters, because of taking underwater pictures.
Ihave 86 Kg and 185 cm, 27 years, sportsman, but I don´t want to use these fins for competition in constant weight.

SPECIAL FINS suggested me softness "hard" ....but I´m afraid of that :crutch

Please give me an advice ....maybe here is somebody who has experience with SPECIAL FINS

Thank you very much :inlove

I own a pair of their fins (I'm very satisfied) and I've never heard of any bad experiences with the company.

And don't be afraid to pay first, they will deliver your fins to you 100%.

As for the stiffness, I'd say go with medium.

Hi Shark,

I have two sets of Specialfins, kelpie mediums and hybrids(mostly carbon), hard. Jyri at specialflins reccommended the hards after a long email conversation. The hybrids are superb fins, by far the best dolphin kick, best acceleration and the fastest fins I've ever used. Outstanding on the surface, unbeatable coming up from depth. However, for general beating around, down to 30m, especially for long days, I wear the kelpies or even softer fins. The hybrids wear me out and, I think, are less effecient when going slow. I think you will be getting something very like the hybrids. My guess, medium would probably be better than hard for you and the diving you describe.

I don't think you have to worry on the pay thing, they have always been reputable, in my experiance. Over the top, outstanding customer service.

Good luck.

Connor

Thank you for your advice )
I have already ordered the stereo carbone fins from Special Fins, stiffness "Medium". They gave me 15% discount and will make me special - wider blades for my footpockets and even more... give mi name and flag of my country onto the blades for free.... Great service, great company, great fins!
Thank you )
