I'm planning to buy a pair of SPETTON C4 VTR II fins and i have agreat difficulty in choosing the right stiffness. I'm 1.70m, my weight is 70k and i usually dive between 16-21m and if necessary i go down to 25m. I also swim 4-6 hours. Shall I go for the 25 or the 30 stiffness?? Anyone can help please? thanks.

Hi Silenthunt,

Why are you looking for VTR (fiber glass + carbon fiber ) insted of a 100% carbon blade??
Do you use fins for Apnea or Spearfishing?

ciao ciao,
Nata

hi Nata
Thank you for your reply. The reason i want to buy this pair of fins is because i think fiber glass is more durable than carbon and i do spearfishing in rocky areas. i haven't used a carbon or fiber glass before i consider c4 as a respectable make and i liked the vtr model. my last fins were cressi gara hf and after many year of hard use they finally cracked!!! believe it or not!

silenthunter - go with the 30's they aren't as stiff as you might think- plus if you ever to dive deeper - you'll wish you had the 30's. I have the C4's and dive rocky areas also- have not had them chip - yet! The little rails have occured some damage- but the blades are still in great condition. go with the 30's.

Whopperhead thanks for the advice, Ive just ordered the 30's and I'm looking forward to try them on. If not deeper, I 'm sure they 'll get me down easier and 'll be comfortable to swim long hours!! thanks again.
