Splicing??

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.

Hello from GWS-infested Cape Town

I was trying to splice some 4-5mm 4braid poly rope. (standard SA floatline) but it just looks looks sh*t! :duh

Does anybody have a link to a good website or an article? I can only find for 3 braid- not sure if I can use that techinque.

hey jacques, it's the same as with 3 strand, just needing more control and patience. hint: use insultation tape. are u making an eye? if so, loosen the strands as far as you need then tape it off so it does not run further. pull the tape nice and tight! also tape the ends nice and tight so you have a good working-end. the start is the most important place, after that its just a matter of going round and round. if you still get stuck, gimme a call. i stay in muizenberg, you're welcome to come around.
