Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a pair of Waterways captain nemo fins black. They have only been used in a swimming pool a few times and one of them has split down the inner edge of one of the machined areas. This split runs from the end of the blade about 1" in. Does anyone know how to repair this material. A friend of mine is a manufacturer of composite racing canoes so has acces to specialist materials and equipment but is unsure what the blade matrial is and what the resin might be. I am waiting for waterway to get back in touch to see if they will replace the blade but need to do something in the meantime.

William.

Hi William,
I just bought a pair of Nemo's as well, and they seem very supportive of their product. I would ask about replacement as well. I believe they have a warranty on the blades.

Cheers,
Aaron

Hi billybob@tesco, flyboy748,

Did you get this issue resolved? Ive been keen to get the nemo fins, but cant get any conclusive reviews about them. Do you own a pair of plastic fins? How about carbon fiber? Im curious how they compare.

I currently own a pair of gara 3000LDs which Im not happy with. I find the plastic unresponsive and stiff. I was hoping the Nemos would solve those two problems.

Incidentally what stiffness did you get them in?

Cheers
