When i was on my vacation for two weeks i did a lot of freediving and my sporasub fin broke. I am thinking of getting another blade but am not sure if it will brake again, is there any other brand that will fit a sporasub foot pocket. Its scary when your fin brakes a u are a 50 feet and u are new to freediving.

I was warned against buying the Sporasubs. If you look on the internet you can find them for UNDER $50.00 U.S.!!!!! Even the CARBON blades!!!!

It was VERY tempting to order the Sporasubs...I got talked out of it here on DeeperBlue!:naughty

I'm glad I went with the Cressi Sub Gara 2000HF....Especially now that I 've seen your Sporasubs. If I was you I'd get my money back & buy a different fin altogether...Unless of coarse Sporasub HAS worked out this problem. I was told that they are breaking constantly - especially for the slightly bigger guys/gals.

Omer had a problem with thier ICE blades recently...They made some minor changes and....voila, awesome, FUNCTIONAL fins. I'd call or write Sporasub...Maybe they'll send you some re-worked ones. The fins look pretty slick...But if they break who care how cool they look. Just think if you were a couple a hundred feet down!

I hope you did'nt pay top dollar for them! I'd be sick!:yack

I really like my Sporasub pockets. they fit better than my Picassos or Cressis that I have tried. They have a higher arch, and the extra height allows better blood flow into my feet to keep them warm. : )
There are plenty of blades you can buy for the Sporasubs. Performance has their Waterway blades (best price of any composite blade), 20Fathom carries Matrix blades (I think they're the Waterway blades) HanaPaa has Leaderfin blades, and you can get SpecialFins through Florida Freedivers. I'm using SpecialFins Medium Bluewater Specials at present, and am very happy with the combination. I used them Saturday hunting down past 70 feet.

I got the fins from a scuba store. I only payed 100$ for them, because the scuba store did not get a lot of freedivers and the owner could not sell them. He said if i had any problems i could get more blades for free or differnt brand of flippers. I now know what to do.

thanks for the help bgill
