Any one having problems with the heal of their foot pockets, mine are less than a year old and already starting to show some cracking around the top of the foot pocket near the heal?

John

Mine aren't showing any signs of fatigue as of yet. However, I only use them every weekend. I'm not adequately located for such a luxury of diving whenever want to. The last "Great Morning Dive" thread you had got me thinkin' bout movin' to Florida.

TO HELL WITH MY 401K! I wanna LIVE!

Mine are about a yr old too - no signs of trouble but then we have cold water & not much sunshine & I rinse them in sweet water after every dive (erm... sometimes...) and also I think sinkweight's avatar is downright scary...reminds me of a girl I once knew...

My footpockets are ok. They don't get used that much at all, but you do need to be careful not to leave yours in any hot places. Mine got left in a car and now they leave black smudges on things. :(

Yeah, I already tried the hot water/stretch the shoe pocket trick. It seemed to work. But recently I left mine in the wagon on a hot, Texan spring day. It seemed to have shrunk the footpockets just enough to where my feet get a little numb on top with my 3 mil socks. I suppose its back to the old pot of hot water and the shoe-stretcher. I've only had the problem of smudging right after the hot water stretching, though.

Have you tried contacting Sporasub? THey might have some kind of insight on the matter....I mean, they've got to know the properties and maintenance protocols for that stuff. I think the American office is in Connecticut or some odd place like that. If I kept my catalog I would've given you the digits two posts ago, ha ha...sorry.
