Hello every one ! yet another footpocket question, before i begin i have read almost every fin/footpocket thread on deeperblue. I'm planning on buying a pair of C4 VTR blades and I am extremely stuck on size difference for a footpocket.
1- Size - is 38-40 Both Sporasub and Omer offers them.
2- Fit - I have only tried Omer footpockets and they fit very tight without sock they also seem quite stiff on the sole. I currently own cressi i need something very similar in width.
3- Quality/Durability - I have read both users using their sporas for over 3yrs and omer users as well I also heard omer footpockets tearing as well as sporasubs cracking on the back?

I went to 20fathoms site and they have a deal on small footpockets however, I'm very skeptical about buying something that I have not yet tried. My feet are small and I am very concerned that the sporasubs may be to wide thus, leading to an unwanted mistake if I decide to buy them.

I find that the Sporas are wider at the toe and slimmer at the heel. The Omers are the opposite - slimmer up front and wider at the back. I prefer Sporas, but I always need to use a sock with either or they tear up my feet around the ankle due to friction rub. Both the Sporas and Omers are wider and stiffer than Cressi's IMO, but the Cressi's can be worn barefoot and are more comfy.

Omers have only ripped on a monofin, no problem with Sporas or Omers on bi-fins.

You are totally right about the Omers being tight up front I felt a squeese that I was not expecting & i was not wearing casual dress socks. I wear socks with any fin i feel that every foot pocket out there with enough time in the water can hurt your feet with the constant movement. I hope more people comment on this so my choice can be clearer.

I've used Sporasub elite hd and the footpockets were very stiff and they don't get even close to gara footpockets. I've got omer footpockets i my monofin and i thinf they much more comfortable and they are closer to the gara tha sorasub are:D

Are your feet narrow or wide? I hear plenty of people with mix feeling however you seem to compare them to the gara whish is exactly what I have I. So you say the sporasub foot pocket is stiffer more uncomfortable than omer's. Have you used both on bi-fins or just monofins.

I've used sporasub in bifins and the omer millenium in monofin only. I've got wide and long (47) foot:D For me gara are the best (i'm using gara 300ld now) and if you are looking for the closer footpockets the omer's are the better:D Sporasub are made from very hard metarial and the omer are made from a material that is almost as comfortable as gara. Cheerse
