Good afternoon.

I own a Cressi Minima and a Aqualung Falco for regular freediving. However, I find those to have limited vision for spearfishing.

I was looking at either the Sporasub Samurai or Instinct Star... any recommendation ?

Between the two I would recommend the Star. It has a wider field of vision than the samurai. The skirt is new and more supple which will lead to better fitting as well as better comfort over long periods of diving. Of course fit is most important, but if they both fit my preference is the star.

Best,

Thanks Zak. As a sales manager for Sporasub, you might know your stuff. The wide field of vision is exactly what I'm looking for. I know the samurai has been around for years so many freedivers/hunter recommend it, so I wasn't sure for the Star.

I will go with the Star

I have the samurai, and the reflective windows limit the light coming in

Got the Mask !

Finally got my Sporasub Instinct Star with clear view and cammo rim. The fit is great and the mask is smaller than I thought. So it's really low volume and the field of view is nice... far better than my other masks. I'll give more details once I used it a few times.
