Has anyone found any literature, seminars, or tapes on sports psychology that were particularly helpful for freediving? I've heard of visualization techniques and different forms of relaxation and meditation and would love to learn more about the subject.

Thanks in advance.

For sports psychology? Maybe to deal with the competitiveness of it? Yes that part is interesting, unless you're just talking about liking the meditation of it.

I'm specifically referring to the aspects of preparing oneself for the lead up and execution of a dive. I image golfers and that sort of athlete must be pro's at it. That sense of being confident and relaxed about what we need to do.

I guess for me it's doing some warm up holds. Holding my breath actually relaxes me, and if I do those well, then I'm pretty confident about longer holds not bothering me.
