Hello everyone, Today I went a got a little snorkeling done, but after 1 1/2 hour when ever i cough and spit blood would come out with the flames. I was submerging an average of 30 feet and holding my breath for about a minute. I do smoke malboro lights and have a light cold, but i don't know if the blood is normal or a bad thing. please let me know if such thing is just temporary, I'm planning to go spearfishing tomorrow and i don't want to be in trouble.

This sounds like you squeezed your lungs. Take a few weeks off or if you do go snorkelling do not dive at all.
Obviously if the bleeding persists get to a doctor, preferably one that understands diving injuries.

Or if you were congested from the cold, it could be sinus trouble. I'ld wait until you cold symptoms are completely gone.

Ok, I called my physician today and explained my situation, and he said it was because of the slight bronchitis's i have. I should be ok by next week,,, Thanks a lot to all. I hope to hear from all of you soon.
