Im fairly new to spearfishing and am looking at getting some new fins, currently I am using my open heal scuba fins and they dont have much power and are too heavy. I want to spend about $200 aus. i have been looking at the picasso starter fins and similar does anyone have any suggestions for going about 10-15 meters?

also does anyone know anything about the stealth fins? or are the "you get wat u pay for"?

Thanks in advance jack

It helps to say your height weight, goals, etc. For narrow feet many prefer the Cressi Gara 3000LD's to start with. I would say if you have narrow feet I would prefer the Beuchats because you can change the blades later when you want to upgrade. If you have wide feet then the Imersion Greens are nice, H. Dessault, Omer, and Picasso but I think the Black Team blade is very stiff and I'm a bigger guy.

Gara 3000 i've tried it is very nice... But i lost one piece in the sea hehe now i bought imersion and till now i didnot try it i will give it a try on next friday as i hope...

is imersion stiff one ?

Sorry...i have wide feet weigh 70 kg and 180cm tall....havnt been able to do alot of spearing but will this summer... i also do alot of other physical activities like sailing and rugby so my legs are fairly strong... i am not too good at holding my breath my dry static is 2 min 20 but im working on it lol

I've tried imersion black it is very stiff mate... Is it gonna improve after much using of the fin? bcoz i feel my foot join will split two ( I used them for like 5 hours )

I'm new to spearfishing. I have Omer Millenium Runner (100 Euro) and I love it...

For wide feet, I've ended up using Picasso black teams - I have wide forefeet and normal heels and nothing else really worked.

The esclapez greens were my first fins but they were only useable with bare feet and they still had a bit too much squeeze, and after moving to the Picassos with 2 or 3mm socks and fin keepers I've had much better comfort and can happily spend hours in the water without pain...

I have 10/10.5 US, 4E feet and have the 46-48 black teams with 3mm socks - I could wear them without keepers but it just makes them feel better. It took a little while (a few times in the water) to get used to the increased stiffness over the greens, but once I was used to it they felt perfect.
