Hello everyone,

I`m starting with trainings in the pool for my first competition in dynamics with fins, so I was wondering if you could recommend me some kind of a training regime. The competition will be held on May, the 30th.
Thank you...:)

Hi.

I am not qualified to give you any training advice but I think you will need to give your PB's, current distance, and current training before anyone can really help you.

Best of luck. C

I have been swiming and going to the gym(orbitrek and runing) for 2 munths, my PB`s in DNF 93, DWF 100, sta. 4.55. I will have monofin in 7 days.

I thing this might help you.

Your results a quite good already, so you don't need advice for beginners, I think. You will have a new monofin...so have you done your 100m with bi-fins or monofin? If you will use your new monofin in the competition (you will, I suppose;) you must do much technical DYN training with new mono to get used to it.

Thank you,

Could someone, please, give me some tehnical tips for using the monofin properly...
:)

Check YouTube videos, search by words: DYN, freediving, monofin, technique etc
Most common in competitions in these days is 2 kicks and glide -style.

Here is nice new video with 2,5 kicks and glide (there is some mess it the start of the video, but you can take it back to the start with your PC-mouse):

And constant kicking:

Here is constant hard DYN training (not competition style, only training):

I would say: train mainly that shown in the last video, and try to go in competition something like in the first video... yes, it's not easy, as we know... Elisabeth's style seems very hydrodynamic and she can keep her legs straight (it's not a common skill).
