I wrote a java software (StaticAssistant) for mobile phones. Lets say its a portable version of StaticTrainer (classical CO2 and O2 tables). Works on my Sony Ericsson K530i but it should also work on the other phones that suports java.

I changed the title of the thread to Static training on mobile phones. When I first saw the title I thought it refferred to electrical static on mobile phones and thought what the heck does this have to do with freediving! :)

Thanks Adrian, perhaps that was a bit confusing.

Thanks, stagga, I added it to the list of other apnea training programs listed at tables @ APNEA.cz

There are already a nice bunch of them. Some of the previous one support smart phones too.

ok, will someone make something for the iphone already!

Stagga's application is written in Java, which is an universal platform supported by practically any computer, PDA, or smart phone, so there is no reason it should not work on iPhone or any other similar device. Did you try it?

ok i need some help :)

after you enter the parameters, press "Next" and when the next display with the table on it appears, press "Start".

I wonder where i would put the file at though. Hrmm.

TampaBrian, unfortunately on the iPhone any third party apps need to be developed through Apple's software development kit for the iPhone, and need to be distributed through iTunes. Unless you're talking about a jailbroken iPhone. By the way, hi, I am just north of Tampa myself. After getting turned away at the local AT&T store in Land o Lakes, I went to the Brandon Town Center Apple store and waited in line 3 hours for the new iPhone last Friday. From what I heard, I had a better experience than a lot of people, the lines at International Plaza were 5-6 hours.

a bunch of my 16-18 year old employees went out and bought itouches 2 weeks ago and they all came in last week with the new iphones....maybe we're paying them too much ;)
I have mine jailbroken, i still can't figure out a way to get it working though...maybe someone should develop a program, i would but i dont have a mac to create it on. I'm just using the good old stop watch for now.
How into freediving are you? I've been looking for someone so practice with but i'm way too intimidated/afraid of how good someone folks are. Plus I dont dont want to embarrass myself. If your ever looking do some practice in a pool and getting to know someone, theres an open invitation to my place.
Take care!
-Brian

Brian, someone would have to get the program into the installer app for jailbroken iphones. I don't know enough about that to tell you where to submit it, but jailbroken iphones have their own app list. That would be some google research.

StatiAssistant 1.1

Some minor changes:

1. "Table A" and "Table B" renamed to "Table CO2" and "Table O2"
2. Changed "voice" and added "30 seconds"
3. Aplication remembers setup of last successful session.

Hi! Thanks for your great program! There is some problem with O2 table, it does not start at all. If I start O2 table, CO2 table pops up, the same problem was with previous version. I have Sony Ericsson G700. Could you please take a look.

Thanks!

hi hudja! I really dont know what causes this problem. I checked code again and tested program on several SE models and it works fine.
I wish I could be more helpful.

Can someone confirm, that StaticAssistant is functioning properly on Nokia smartphones (symbian S60 3rd)? On Nokia E66 StaticAssistant works well ...almost - except sound :head Is it phone problem or programms "feature"?

Update: After firmware update and phone memory format (=> brand new mobile ;)
everything started to work perfectly. Hurray! :-D
