Ah Happened again !
I go to make a new thread, logon, then type up a post, then it asks for me to logon again and I lose what I typed ?!
OK Short version:-
How much does static training improve static times, compared to say doing dynamics which usually helps with all round freediving ?
For those that train/compete, do your static times decrease much in "offseason" when you don't train so much ?
Wondering if it's like other sports where in offseason you have a bit of a rest, and your performance really drops off.
I haven't practised statics for about a year (practise dynamics a bit), tried it twice recently and got 2 PB's 5:15 and 6:04. When I used to practise a year ago the most I got to was around 5 minutes.
Also does it become increasingly difficult to make improvements in time once you are in the higher ranges ? I'm guessing so.
ie law of diminishing returns ?
There are people on this site with heaps of training/competition experience, some info would be helpful, thanks.
