I am a beginner trying to get started in freediving, at the moment I don't have buddy so I am not doing any work in the pool but I am trying to do some O2 and CO2 tables on land to give myself a headstart when I finally get in the water. I have been doing them about 2 weeks and gone from under 2 mins to around 3.30 mins which I was quite pleased with. But, does anyone have any idea how much I can expect this to reduce by when I get in the water? I am generally quite comfortable in the water (do a lot of swimming and some scuba diving) but I assume that just having to float at the surface, being cooler etc will reduce my times.
Also, is there anything I can safely do as dynamic training (I do sneakily do some of my swim training breathing 1/7 or 1/9 instead of 1/3 when I'm doing crawl but that is all). I think my dynamics are likely to be a weakness.
Finally, does anyone know of a list of freediving clubs in the UK anywhere? I'm in Cardiff and the closest one I have heard of is in Bristol.
Thanks
