hello, i´m new and i know i could use the search, but i´m not too sure what to search for because i don´t know what is for advanced apneaists and what somebody like me, that has no clue abou training could use.
i´m looking for a very basic statik training, like a very basic plan. do you plan this by your personal maximum? what do o2 and co2 trainings do?
i would appreciate it if somebody could help me out, i´m clueless.
thanks

My first reply went wrong so this is the second version:

I used the following O_2-table in bed to start:

2min breathe-up ---> t_start apnea
2min breathe-up ---> 15s longer than before apnea
2min breathe-up ---> 15s longer than before apnea
2min breathe-up ---> 15s longer than before apnea
2min breathe-up ---> 15s longer than before apnea
2min breathe-up ---> 15s longer than before apnea
2min breathe-up ---> 15s longer than before apnea
2min breathe-up ---> 15s longer than before apnea (t_max)

where t_start is 40-50% of your max. time (t_max). As a beginner
you should reach t_max in the last attempt. The breathe-up depends
on you, but I think that learning the "complete (yogic) breath" is most
important! Learn the 3 breathing types and combine them to the
complete breathing, which is VERY effective. These 3 types are upper, middle (chest) and lower or diaphragmatic breathing.

Here is my old 2min breathe-up:
1. recovering about 45s from the last breath hold with:
'244': breathe in fast 2s, hold 4s, breathe out 4s or better
'488' use full yogic breathing and concentrate on breathing out
don't do longer than a minute (242 is close to hyperventilation)
2. 1min: relax and slow down your heart rate with diaphragmatic breathing
3. purge a LITTLE CO_2 with (at most 5) 3 fast and shallow 'purge
breaths' while keeping the slow heart rate (diaphragmatic breathing?)
DO NOT HYPERVENTILATE like xx purge breaths or 2min 242!!!
4. start apnea with a full yogic breath

At the beginning it will not work so easy as written, but I have reached
5.15min from 1.45min within 9 months. It's a good idea to write down
the apnea time, the time of the first contraction and the number of
contractions if you have any (You should.).

Good luck,
Michael

P.S. If you eat before training it will probably go wrong!
Wait at least 2h (better 3h) after the last meal.
