Just to evince, I'm too lazy to come up with an excuse to defend my blatant, inexcusable failure for apprehending needed information...

The actual question not at all implied in my subject title:

Does an underwater metal-detector exist?

I would assume so.

More so, being an absolute geek...you'd think I'd know the answer to this very question...

hah..yes it definitely exists. they are just way more expensive. It just depends on what you are using it for. Goin to a beach and searchign the water for jewelry and expensive sunglasses like we do here(gotta get a tip somehow..lol) would be fine and we've always wanted an UW-MD... however obviously if you plan to find treasure on a sunken ship you may have a detector that has an odd urge to be sounding off ALL the time..hehe. either or, they do exist!!
