so, whenever i do dynamic apnea with fins, the "stick" to the wall whenever i push off, its due to the suction of the fins moving away from the wall, is there any way to avoid this?

I don't think that would be it, I'm sorry the description is so vague, but I would relate it to taking a board and laying it down in the mud, and trying to pull it off

I've seen this suction effect pull my training buddy's fin right off his foot on the 75m turn as he was going for a max effort. One way I found of reducing the problem is to roll the foot a llittle so that when you push off, you're actually pushing off using the outer side of your foot. Not as much push off the wall this way but much less suction between the fin and the wall. Or another way is to contact the wall with the ball of your foot or the toes as the suction seems to be created around the middle of the foot. Keep the middle of the foot away from the wall and you should be ok.

Cheers,
Ben

hi

I only get this suction effect on the very first push off. After that when I make turns I simply tuch the wall with my hand and kinda push backwards and spin whilst doing it (kinda hard to describe) but using this technique my fins never even touch the wall, the pool I practice in is only 14m long so there are lots of turns which means I must to get the turns right otherwise it stuffs up the dynamic.

cheers
