Hi Nomad,
Talk is cheap - how is viz up North? ;) Looks like I will be probably up your way sometime over the Christmas break.
Not a nibble. No response.

Hi Nomad, I thought I was taking my life in my hands, a soft southerner making a quip like that to a Yorkshireman. I thought I might at least be challenged to go out with you or get a viz report!;)

Definately take your rubbers off the gun, spray a light coat of silicone spray, wrap in a freezer bag and store them in the fridge. This was recommended to me by Rob Allen, S. Africa. It practically reduces aging to nothing.

gun rubbers in the fridge, right: that's what i do (and my friends too). Dont'ask me any detailed physic/chemical explanation of the reason why, I couldn't tell. But it works fine as an anti-aging trick.

MY god.... winter fishin'...

I THINK PEOPLE GET VERY : :head if they wount find fish under the ice when hunting....

BUt its pretty dangerous...very dangerous endeed!

you mean in fridge in a cool area? or in freezer section mate?
Thanks info! i bet it works if recommended to u by Rob Allen

rubbers in the fridge: cool area, no freezer (that's what I do), in a plastic bag or box to place in a no wet and no frosty spot. One more warning: inform your wife they're NOT any exotic sort of sausages to grill...

We don't generally get ice on the sea here. ;) Yes, snorkelling under ice seems like a bad idea.
